Friends of St. Peter's - Serving the Heart of our Community

Welcome to FoSP, our beloved charity! We work tirelessly to raise funds through our annual membership drive and by hosting inclusive events for all.

We invite you to join us in our efforts to preserve the focal point of Titchfield’s rich history. With your support, we will continue to make a positive impact in our community and create lasting change for generations to come.

We are so excited to invite you to become a part of something truly wonderful – the Friends of St Peter’s.

Our ancient and historic church building has stood the test of time and the need to preserve it remains our primary purpose.

This allows us to continue to represent centuries of tradition and to continue to foster the promotion of community spirit in the village, whilst encouraging visitors to visit and enjoy its beauty.  Our work allows us to maintain the integrity of the building with the aim of preserving it for generations to come, we need your support.

Thank you for considering joining us!

Supporting our work costs just £15 per year per for an individual, and the benefits include:

  •  Knowledge that 100% of your subscription is used to preserve St Peter’s Church.
  •  Updates on the progress your support is making towards the maintenance of the church building.
  • Advance notice of future events with priority booking.
  • Annual invitation to the AGM with feedback welcome.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to all of our Friends. I am quite new to the village having moved here in 2019, so many of you will not know who I am. I hope to get to know as many of you as possible at our various fundraising events.

St Peter’s is such a beautiful, ancient building and I hope during my time in this post to be able to continue the successful work undertaken by previous committee members. We have a challenging time ahead as both the church and the Southampton Chapel are in need of restoration. FoSP, together with the church and The Southampton Monument and Vault Initiative (SMVI), will be working towards raising the money to complete a programme of works.

I hope you will be able to support our efforts by attending some of our events. On 14th September we have Jazz at the Barn with music provided by Atlantic Jazz. This should be a lovely Sunday afternoon event. There will be a bar so bring a picnic and relax. Later in the year we will be presenting, together with The Titchfield History Society, a Victorian Carol Concert performed by Madding Crowd and of course there will be the annual Carols around the Christmas Tree in December.

I do hope you will be able to come along. Thank you for your continued support.
